Our client is a leading Japanese manufacturer of components for several key industries – including industrial machinery and automotive technology.
There are almost 7,500 employees worldwide, around 90 of them in Europe. The sales and logistics location in the Greater Düsseldorf area also serves as the headquarters for the entire European market.
Now our customer is looking for a motivated Japanese Speaker to join the purchase order management team.
Tasks:
You are the communication interface to Japan regarding the purchasing volume of different products and their timely delivery to the warehouse in Europe. This includes:
• Collecting the relevant information to maintain a precise understanding of the customers’ needs in terms of product volume and required delivery time throughout the year
• Keeping track of stock availability as well as stock capacity at the European warehouse and planning orders ahead to ensure on-time delivery
• Staying in close contact with the colleagues in Japan to purchase the orders and coordinate the shipments
• Tracking the shipments from Japan to Europe, communicating with logistics companies when necessary
Your Profile:
Successfully completed university degree or vocational training (reference to Japanese/Japan very welcome)
• Work experience in a back office role (e.g. as a logistic/ sales assistant, customer support etc.) welcome
• Good practical knowledge of MS Office, experience in working with Excel is particularly advantageous
• Communicative personality with the ability to work independently as well as in an international team
• Good organizational skills, accuracy, and an eye for details
• Language skills:
• Japanese: Business fluent (at least JLPT N2)
• English: very good knowledge
• German: advantageous
