Sehr geehrte Kunden und Freunde unserer Japan-Galerie,
Wir freuen uns sehr, Ihnen zum Beginn des Frühlings eine neue Auswahl von 44 schönen originalen japanischen Farbholzschnitten auf unserer Webseite vorzustellen:
Zum Auftakt vierzehn sehr stimmungsvolle und gesuchte japanische Shin-Hanga-Landschaften von den bekannten Künstlern Hasui, Kôitsu, Shôtei, Shirô, sowie von Yoshida Hiroshi und seinem Sohn Tôshi; besonders hervorheben möchten wir dabei die seltene Ansicht der berühmten Meoto-Iwa-Felsen im Meer von Hasui in einem frühen Druck.
Zwölf feine Tierdarstellungen von Koson, Gekkô, Kôgyo und Seitei bilden den zweiten Schwerpunkt unserer neuen Ausstellung, dabei eine Reihe von Tiermotiven des japanischen Zodiaks, sowie zwei der großartigen und seltenen Krähen im Schnee von Koson. Eine besondere Rarität ist hier die erhaltene, vollständig durchgeführte und sehr feine Entwurfsmalerei von Ohara Koson für einen Holzschnitt, zusammen mit einer originalen Zeichnung und dem Holzschnitt.
Feine, erzählende Szenen aus dem japanischen Frauenleben der Meiji-Zeit, finden Sie im dritten Teil unserer Neuvorstellung, mit Blättern aus Gekkôs Fujin fuzoku-Serie und mit Kuchi-e, Frontispiz-Drucken, von Toshikata und Toshimine.
Und last but not least zeigen wir nach längerer Zeit wieder einmal eine Reihe von erotischen Shunga-Blättern aus der Edo-Zeit, hier vier besonders prächtige, hervorragend gedruckte Motiven von Koikawa Shôzan, sowie kleinformatige Koban-Drucke aus einer Serie von Analogien zur Strategie des Go-Spiels.

Dear customers and friends of Japanese Prints,
We are pleased to welcome the arrival of spring with a selection of 44 beautiful original Japanese colour woodblock prints on our website www.japankunst.de:
To start with, fourteen very atmospheric Shin-hanga landscape prints by the masters Hasui, Kôitsu, Shôtei, Shirô and by Yoshida Hiroshi and his son Tôshi. We would like to particularly highlight a rare early edition print by Hasui showing the famous Meoto-Iwa rocks in the sea.
Twelve fine animal prints by the artists Koson, Gekkô, Kôgyo and Seitei constitute the second part of our new exhibition, including a number of Japanese zodiac animals and two of Koson’s magnificent crows in the snow. A special rarity is the preserved, fully executed fine original painting by Ohara Koson for a woodblock print, together with the original drawing and the final print.
Part three of our presentation is dedicated to the delicate and narrative scenes from Japanese women’s life in the Meiji era: Gekkô’s Fujin-fuzoku series and Kuchi-e prints by Toshikata and Toshimine.
Last but not least, you will find a selection of Edo period erotic woodblock prints (Shunga), with four particularly splendid (and superbly printed) images by Koikawa Shôzan and a series of small-size Koban prints from a series of analogies to the strategies of the game of Go.
